Once the tamariki turn 4.5 years old we begin our Ruru Before School Programme to give them a head start on starting school. We have been in touch with local primary schools to see what they would like the tamariki to be able to do, and have created a programme based on their feedback.

The group is made up of up to 6 children, who meet weekly for around 30 – 40 minutes with one of our kaiako to complete worksheets and hands-on activities, as well as having one-on-one time to work on any individual skills that might need developing.
